ISLAND LAKE LODGE — RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT WARNING: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING. BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT YOU WILL WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. 1. ASSUMPTION OF RISKS. I understand that cat skiing and snowcat-accessed backcountry skiing involve inherent risks including but not limited to: avalanches, tree wells, collisions with trees and other natural or man-made objects, changing weather and snow conditions, equipment failure, and travel in remote mountain terrain far from medical facilities. I voluntarily assume all such risks. 2. RELEASE AND WAIVER. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release Island Lake Lodge, its owners, directors, officers, employees, guides and agents from any and all liability for personal injury, death or property loss arising from my participation, except where caused by gross negligence. 3. INDEMNITY. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any claims brought by me or on my behalf. 4. MEDICAL. I confirm I am physically fit to participate, have disclosed relevant medical conditions and allergies, and authorize emergency medical treatment if I am unable to consent. 5. MINORS. If the participant is under 19, a parent or legal guardian must also sign below and accepts this agreement on the minor's behalf. I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, UNDERSTAND IT, AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY.
